Ohio Department of Health has made new immunization requirements for school attendance starting in the fall. New booster requirement: 1 dose of Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis) or Td (tetanus and diphtheria) vaccine must be administered prior to entering 7th grade. Tdap is preferred because it provides vital protection against pertussis, also known as whooping cough. If your student has had a tetanus shot in the last 5 yrs that will meet the requirement. Please provide proof of vaccine.
